Samsung Galaxy S23 FE could launch in select markets in Q3 2023

According to a new report from Sammobile, Samsung is expected to release the Galaxy S23 FE smartphone in specific markets during the third quarter of 2023, which aligns with previous rumors. The report also suggests that the company plans to launch the phone globally in the fourth quarter of 2023 and the first quarter of 2024.

At this point, there is no official list of countries where Samsung intends to debut the S23 FE first. To recall, the S21 FE was initially introduced in the United States and Europe in early January 2022, followed by a launch in India a week later.

As per the report, the phone is rumored to come equipped with a 50MP rear camera, similar to the S23, along with options for either 6GB or 8GB of RAM, and storage variants of 128GB or 256GB. Additionally, it is expected to feature a 4,500mAh battery with support for 25W fast charging.

Could the Galaxy S23 FE sport the Exynos 2200? A recent report from Korea suggests that the phone might be powered by the Exynos 2200 processor, paired with an AMD-powered Xclipse 920 GPU. It further indicates that Samsung has redesigned the Exynos 2200 to increase its presence in the application processor market and improve yield. The report also mentions that the yield of the Exynos 2200 is better than that of the Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 and is nearly on par with the 8+ Gen 1.

Possible replacement for the Galaxy A7x series Given that Samsung did not launch the Galaxy A74 as the successor to the Galaxy A73 this year, the Galaxy S23 FE is expected to fill that void. The phone is also rumored to be priced in a similar range to the Galaxy A73, making it more affordable compared to the Galaxy S21 FE.

Earlier reports had suggested an August or September launch for the Galaxy S23 FE this year, so it appears we will have to wait a couple more months to get more information about Samsung’s upcoming mid-range S series device.
